procharger install

I have heard several different things about what I need for my Procharger install. One mechanic tells me that evrything I need comes with the kit, others tell me that I will need larger injectors, larger fuel pump, (other than the inline one the kit comes with) and also some tunning software so I can have some timing control.

1. What tunning sofware do you guys recommend?
2. Do I have to have larger injectors?
3. Do I need a larger fuel pump?
4. What else do I need?

I guess I should mention that I will be using the stock block. Mods so far are: HKS TD Exhaust, Test Pipes, JWT Pop Charger, JWT 550HP Clutch, JWT 14lb Flywheel. 5/16th plenum Spacer, Hotchkis Springs.

I'm ready to have the work done, I just need to know exactly what I need. Thanks

Where are you located? I don't know of anyone on here that has the procharger kit installed but there are plenty of shops that have experience with it that you could get advice from.

From your list I would say:
1. UTEC (cheaper), HKS V-Pro, or Haltech.
2. A lot of people run these Deatschwerks: http://www.injectedperformance.com/shopcat.../Fuel_Injectors

Sorry I am not much help as I am not FI and don't know what all is required for a proper setup. Any of the following shops would be glad to help you over the phone though and they do some of the best installs in the community.

Injected Performance, Forged Performance, MRC, SGP, SP Racing, and Performance Factory to name a few.

Have you already purchased the ATI kit? Can I ask why you chose it over Vortech or a turbo system?
If I may chime in here, I would also Choose the ATI over the Vortech. Because the ATI has a Self contained oil system, meaning you dont have to punch a hole in your oil pan like the Vortech. And by having a self contained oil system your supercharger will run cooler. Also the maximum impeller speed is Higher on the ATI. And the ATI moves more CFM of air than the Vortech by 100. The ATI is more efficient. The only reason I know this is because i have been doing some research on FI because i am considering it next spring. But I may go with the APS single turbo I dont know yet.

Well....One Quick pretty much said it all. After talking with a few shops around here. I just felt like the ATI would be best for my needs. I live in Shreveport, LA by the way. I'm leaning toward the Utec now for the tunning software. How does that work? Do I send them my ecu after I have the procharger installed? Will I still need to go to a shop and have it tunned? Will just the Utec do it all for tunning?

That is a good option but, My car is an Auto and they only make that for the Manuals also I am looking at price. I have found the APS kit for 4k and the ATI kit for 5k.
But that kit comes with some good parts incl. a Utec

Update: I had my Procharger kit ordered today! :shiftdrive: I plan on driving to Houston after the install to have the Utec installed and tunned. If all goes well, I should be boosted in just a couple of weeks! I'll let you guys know how it goes and the dyno numbers when all is complete. I've saved and waited a LONG time for this glorious day to get here! Thanks for all the help along the way!

Keep me posted on your procharger dyno results. I have a procharger kit sitting on my dining room table right now begging to be installed.

Thanks to hurricane Ike, it will be a while before I can afford to install mine.

As far as I know they are open. You may try UpRev in Austin too. They do all of my tuning and will be doing the tune when I install my Procharger.
